Prohibited Member Info

Leaders must obtain a Member’s explicit consent to generate Member Info (as defined in the privacy policy) about the following categories if such use is inconsistent with the primary topic of the Leader account:

  • Sensitive health information (including mental and physical conditions, pregnancy, disabilities, or similar information)
  • Racial or ethnic origin
  • Religious or political beliefs
  • Trade union membership
  • Immigration status
  • Sex life or sexual orientation
  • Biometric or genetic information

For example, a fitness Leader would need to get consent from its Members to add a tag about which political party they support. But a political Leader would not, since the primary topic of their account is politics. Generating or importing Member Info for illegal purposes is strictly prohibited, including violations of fair housing laws, employment discrimination laws, disability discrimination laws, and financial eligibility laws (e.g., loans, insurance).
