We're solving Community-level connection.

Our human need for connection is primal. For eons, we've united around shared interests to ensure species survival. And as we solved for food, water, shelter, and safety, our communities made room for love and belonging.

Some things haven't changed. In different communities we play different roles. Sometimes leader, sometimes member. Sometimes conversation starter, sometimes contributor.

Today, we're still hardwired to seek out communities where we can be seen and heard, support and be supported, inspire and be inspired. The big difference between then and now? Scale and speed. (Dunbar's Number, meet Moore's Law.)

That's why we're here. To help community leaders build real relationships with community members. Using a medium with massive reach, on a channel we all cherish - text.

We're optimizing reach and engagement.

Text messaging is dead simple and super smart. It’s ubiquitous and familiar—built into every phone in the world, with no apps to download or learn.

Text messages have super-high open rates. (Like 90%-of-them-read-within-three-seconds high.) Our phone numbers are precious and personal. We care about the texts we get because we care about who they’re from.

84% of sharing happens via channels like text. Articles that inspire, images we love, events we *need* to attend—we share them with the people we care about. And they do the same. 

The vast majority of social tools aren’t designed for this level of reach or engagement. 

We’re more “social messaging” than “social media.” 

Email and direct messengers focused on one-to-one communication are high effort and low coverage.

Social media’s forte is one-to-many communication. And potential reach appears high, but algorithms suppress posts and limit exposure, effectively penalizing community leaders as their audiences grow. Plus, it's hard to have a conversation on a megaphone, or to get to know an audience in anonymous demographic averages, or to connect meaningfully when you can’t target posts in meaningful ways.

One-to-Community communication is what excites us.

Audiences made of individuals, with names and faces, interests and opinions, hometowns and pronouns. Conversations that are personal, relevant—and above all—wanted. Where community leaders own the relationships and create the engagement, not algorithms. All on a channel we know, use, and love.

We're the channel where community leaders can be authentic. Where they can know their community members and speak directly to them—instantly. Where they can support the people who support them. Where they won’t be criticized for—or penalized by—the size of their audience, but instead propelled forward by the quality of their interactions.

We're the place where community members can be seen and heard as individuals. Where they can contribute and be appreciated. Where they can get butterflies via text.

We're working for our community leaders and their community members.

They’re our customers. We make technical, product, and business decisions around creating deep, intrinsic value for them—not revenue for advertisers. In turn, they pay monthly or annual service fees for 100% audience reach and limitless segmentation, in a climate free from bullying and toxicity.

As a community of developers and dreamers at Community, our quest to solve a basic human desire goes well beyond survival. We're here to create a way to belong.
